Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong interest in digital marketing to join the University’s Digital Marketing Team.

This is a broad-ranging role, with the post-holder needing to be organised, have good communication skills and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will primarily support our digital ticketing system, website, social media channels and the blog.

  • Support activities and projects relating to the digital marketing strategy
  • Co-ordinate the day to day requests made of the Digital Marketing Team
  • Create and edit content for the University’s website and social channels
  • Update webpages, forms and documents
  • Support activity to ensure digital marketing channels conform with brand guidelines
  • Contribute to reviews and reports on digital activity
  • Develop up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Support team projects and assist training sessions as required
  • Support events including Open Days and other University events
  • Be the point of contact for stakeholders and colleagues across the University to provide excellent customer experience
  • General administrative support.
Candidate and Skills Requirements:
Essential Criteria


  • GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above
  • A - levels or equivalent
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks at once and keep the team/key stakeholders regularly updated on progress.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
Skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Good team player, but able to work under own initiative
  • Proofreading skills and good attention to detail
Business requirements
  • Ability to work out of hours on occasion, particularly at events
Desirable Criteria


  • Marketing qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Experience of using website content management systems, WordPress and social media platforms
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
Knowledge of social media platforms and third-party software
Working Hours and Length of Contract:
6 Months full time role to start mid-September
Rate of Pay:
£9.05 per hour
