Workshop Leaders for PGR Training Leaders 
Job Description:
University Research & Knowledge Exchange Office (URKEO  is looking to recruit two Postgraduate Research students, in at least their second year of doctoral

study, to become Workshop Leaders and deliver workshops to their peers in groups of 5-10.

Workshops will be presented face-to-face and as webinars. Workshop Leaders could be expected to contribute to both formats.

Workshop Leaders will be trained for their roles by URKEO and all workshop material will be provided.

Workshops might include the following sessions:

· What next? Starting a project and maintaining momentum

· How to get the most out of your supervision

· How to maximise your productivity

· How to finish your doctorate on time

Candidates need to provide a CV, a statement on how they meet the job requirements, explaining relevant

experience, and a reference from their PGR supervisory team.

Appointment offers will be made following a shortlisting process and interviews with URKEO staff.

Candidate and Skills Requirements:

Candidates must be Postgraduate Research students in at least their second year of doctoral study.

Must have successfully completed their Application for Registration milestone for PGR study.

Must have an interest in supporting the learning of others.

Should feel confident and happy about the responsibility.

Have a positive and flexible attitude.
Able to demonstrate both independent self-management and team working.
Able to work with competing priorities and balance different commitments.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience of presenting would be desirable.
Able to come on campus for the training and face-to-face workshops.
Interviews will be held online on 7 February 2022. 
Working Hours and Length of Contract:
22 hours for each workshop leader (including Induction training, and training and preparation time for each workshop).
Expected to start in February/March 2022 - to last about 10 weeks
Rate of Pay:
£17 per hour
